Irene Nunley

Abingdon, VA - Irene Nunley, born June 2, 1916 and a resident of Commonwealth Assisted Living of Abingdon, passed on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Irene was of the United Methodist Faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie Dayton Nunley, Sr. and Inez Gibson Nunley; brother, Harold G. Nunley; and sister, Mary V. Nunley Maiden. She is survived by one brother, Lonnie Dayton Nunley, Jr. of Bristol, VA; nieces and nephews, Charles Milton Maiden, Mary Sue Smith, Ann M. Wallace, Carol Jean Maiden, Lonnie D. “Chip” Nunley, III, Susan Nunley, and Myra Jean Stout; several great nieces and great nephews; and one great-great nephew. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 19, 2014, at Knolkreg Memorial Park with Rev. Barbara Farmer officiating.
