Ival Christine Buckles

Bristol, VA - Ival Christine Buckles, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Johnston Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was a lady that was loved by all that met her. Mrs. Buckles was born in Buchanan County, VA and was a resident of Bristol, VA for 37 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernice and Alice Coleman, and her infant brother, Billy Charles Coleman. She is survived by her husband, Jackie “Jack” Buckles; three daughters, Deborah Leonard and husband Edward, Jr. of Vansant, VA, Selena Buckles and husband Jackie Poston of Abingdon, VA, and Jackie Lockhart and husband Steve of Rosedale, VA; three brothers, Gary Coleman and wife Christa of Vansant, VA, James Coleman and wife Anna Ruth of Vansant, VA, and Thomas Coleman and wife Patsy of Grundy, VA; three sisters, Lora Anne Viers of Atlanta, GA, Rebecca Mullins of Abingdon, VA, and Mellie Stiltner and husband Larry of Pounding Mill, VA; two grandchildren, Summer Rhodes and husband Warren of Richmond, VA, and Stevie Prater and husband Jason of Knoxville, TN; special aunt and friend, Jean St. Clair; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be held 5-7 p.m., Thursday, June 25, 2015, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Evangelist Mike McCoy officiating. A graveside committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Jason Prater, Warren Rhodes, and nephews serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Leonard, Jr., Jackie Poston, and Steve Lockhart. Those wishing to travel in procession to the cemetery are asked to convene at the funeral home before 10:30 a.m., Friday.
