Jack Keller Hagy went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Thursday, October 29, 2009.
He passed away after a lengthy illness, at Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, TN.
Mr. Hagy had lived the last twenty-nine years in Bristol, VA. He was employed as a produce supervisor for K-VA-T Food Stores since 1964, before retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Calvary Bible Church, Bristol, VA and was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Nell Hagy of Abingdon, VA, and his wife Carrie Hagy.
Survivors include his son, Jack Hagy, Jr. and wife Jane, one grandson, the pride and joy of his life, Brent Hagy and wife Kristy, three brothers, Jim Hagy and wife Shirley, Sam Hagy and wife Ann, Mike Hagy and wife Fran, two sisters, Margaret Remine and husband Wayne, Betty Stone and husband Bruce, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, October 31, 1009 at 8:00 p.m. in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 427 East Main Street with Brother Eddie Crusenberry and Brother Les Ketron officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 31, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service in the Farris Funeral Home.
The graveside service will be held Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:55 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Steve Belcher, James McCoy, A. J. Murray, Bill Stoots, Larry Cunningham and Mike Horne.
Mr. Hagy would like to extend a special thank you to his neighbors, the Belcher family, the McCoy family and the Tester family for taking care of his house and yard during his illness. The family would also like to extend special thanks to nurses Fran Hagy and Kristy Hagy for their care and kindness.
