Jack Wayne Nidiffer, age 71, passed on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Mr. Nidiffer was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and worked at Bristol Metals for over 27 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Nola Beatrice Wyatt Nidiffer and stepson, Randall Fitzgearld.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Woods Nidiffer; one brother, Allen (Gearldine) Nidiffer of Bristol, VA; two step-sons, Ken (Margie) Fitzgearld, a very special son, of Bluff City, TN, and Leon Fitzgearld of Blountville, TN; step-daughter, Pamela (Mike) Connley of Blountville, TN; and many special sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Dr. Charles Sherfey officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 11:00 A.M.
Visitation with the family will be 6-8 P.M. Friday at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
The family would like to give special thanks to Wilma and Melvin Gobble; Camille Callahan; Jeff and Melissa Widner; Jereleen Woods; Dr. Reinhart, Jennifer Taylor, Crystal Smith and staff; Dr. Chang, Ashley and staff and doctors of the 3rd Floor Unit at Johnston Memorial Hospital; and doctors, nurses and staff of the 3rd Floor Critical Care Unit at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
