Jack Ingle of Bristol, Virginia, entered the peace of Heaven for eternity on Sunday morning, March 30, 2025.
Daddy was born November 3, 1940, to Charlie and Beulah Vickers Ingle. He spent his childhood years logging with his grandfather on the land that he and wife Imajean built a home on. They worked together to raise 2 daughters and were able to enjoy their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Daddy worked hard for years doing manual labor, logging, and owning a sawmill for a hobby. Daddy was an Army veteran, and he was a supervisor for Barker Brothers for many years, doing paving and construction. In retirement, he enjoyed his garden and raising plants and flowers. Never a person to be idle, he enjoyed mowing and was often found mowing for neighbors just to keep busy.
Jack and Jean enjoyed travel when they had a chance. Among their most treasured memories are with their girls in the John Battle Band to the Cotton Bowl Parade, the Rose Parade, Niagara Falls, and to Disney World. They also traveled to Fort Seal Oklahoma to see granddaughter, Shea, graduate basic training.
Jack leaves behind loving and devoted wife of almost 60 years, Imajean Pickett Ingle; daughters, Janet (Luke) Statzer and Janice, better known as Dee Dee, (Jimmy) Ingle; grandchildren, Shea Hill Garza (Noah), Sierra Hill, Dallas Gross, Steven and Paige Statzer; great-grandchildren Korbin Garza, Kinsley Childress, Caleb and Addy Stephens, and Kiya Bishop; and many precious nieces and nephews.
Cherished family includes Alma Clark, Gaynell Ryan, James "Peanut" Ingle (Debbie), the late Bobby Ingle (Susie), and Mark Ingle (Cheryl), along with Rachel Cook, Mary Adams, and Bill Pickett (Glenna). Other precious friends include the Booher Family, Charlie Brown, Irma Puckett, and many others.
Jack enjoyed family and friends that grew into family. Vernon Akers from Kansas, Jim Farmer from Georgia, and the late Mack McCutcheon from West Virginia, who began their friendship in the Army 61 years ago, and enjoyed weekly calls and occasional visits. We cherish them and their families. Jack was a friend to all and never met a stranger and was always quick to help. He enjoyed making apple butter with the folks from Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with the Benhams Seniors.
