Jacob Joseph (Yarber) Kallal, age 28, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2012, at his home. Jacob was a U.S. Navy Veteran and was a student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He loved sports and weightlifting. Jacob was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Wayne Yarber, Sr.; grandparents, Stan and Beulah Yarber and John Victor Kallal; and aunt, Jackie Kallal-Langton.
He is survived by his mother, Rebecca Kallal Perkovich and husband Jeff of Indiana, PA; grandmother, Jeanie Kallal Boyden and husband Deane of Wilmington, NC; sisters, DeAnna Yarber-Aisner and husband Trent of Bristol, VA, and Lisa Diane Perkovich-Morgart and husband Rex of Washington, D.C.; brother, Dennis Wayne Yarber, Jr. of Bristol, VA; nieces and nephew Mark Aisner, JoLeigh Hughes and Dane Aisner; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; very special friend, Hilary Crossley; and loyal companion, Kierra.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Rosedale Baptist Church, 26396 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24211, with Dr. Don Paxton officiating. Burial will follow in Old Glade Presbyterian Cemetery with military rites conducted by Highlands Veterans Honor Guard and the Virginia National Guard. Active pallbearers will be Luke Sitosky, Dennis Yarber, Trent Aisner, Mike Kallal, Joe Kallal, and Tim Cassidy. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitch Reseski, Mark Reseski, Matt Davidson, Jonathan R. Yarber, and Bobby Yarber, Jr..
