Meadowview, Va.
Jacob Matthew Pollock, 33, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019. Jake was born and raised in Troy, Ohio, and had lived in the Abingdon area for the past 16 years. He graduated from Abingdon High School in 2004 and worked as a sales representative for AT&T.
Jake was a loving son, brother and uncle. He enjoyed working on his GTI and Jeep as well as fixing up his Dodge RT for Street Fight Nights. He loved good music, and was very friendly- he didn’t know a stranger. He was the one you went to for a funny story. The kind you would laugh so hard it hurts, and then smile about it later. Want a buddy to catch the latest action movie? You would call Jake. He was always found on the couch with his dog, Bernie. He was so easy to talk to and the best listener. Jake never asked for anything, but he was the first to help out with any kind of tech issue. Jake was a cherished member of the AT&T “Wolfe Pack”. He loved deeply and has left a hole in our hearts that no one else can fill.
Jake is survived by his parents, George and Marilyn Pollock of the home in Meadowview, Va.; siblings Heather (Joe) Imel of Geneva, Ind., Sarah (Joshua) Watkins of Troy, Ohio, Sandra (Bradley) Weber of Meadowview, Aaron (Ronna) Pollock of Houston, Ohio, and Joseph Andrew Pollock of North Hampton, Ohio; girlfriend Kaitlyn Keen of Richlands, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
