Abingdon, VA- Jacqueline “Jackie” Guthrie Miller, age 77, passed away peacefully in Abingdon on February 7, 2015, at the age of 77. She was born on November 28, 1937 in Charleston, WV. She graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in Charleston, WV in 1955. She was a long time resident of Port Charlotte, FL, where she served and worked in the banking industry. She served on the board of the Charlotte County Builders Association and was an officer of the local chapter of the American Business Women’s Association. She was also a member of the Port Charlotte Eagles’ Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Georgia Quay, and her brother Richard Campbell. She is survived by her son Michael Miller and wife Katherine of Abingdon, VA, and her grandson Anthony Miller of Knoxville, TN. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Abingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center for their comfort and support. Private services will be held at a later date.
