Bristol, VA – Jaime Kay Carter, age 39, passed on Thursday, January 26, 2017. Jaime was born and spent most of her life in Gillette, WY before moving to Bristol in 2011 where she worked as a probation officer for the State of Virginia. She was a Graduate of Campbell County High School in Wyoming and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wyoming.
Jaime is preceded in death by her grandparents, Leroy Vannaman, Paul Henrichsmeyer, and Calvin Carter.
She is survived by her children, Shelby Dorn and Brody Dietsche, both of Bristol, VA; parents, Jeffrey and Kay Vannaman Carter of Bristol, VA; brother, Doug Carter and wife Michele of Douglas, WY; grandparents, Ella Henrichsmeyer and Dorothy Vannaman; niece, Madison Carter; nephew, Bentley Carter; and several aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2017, at State Street Methodist Church, 300 West Valley Drive, Bristol, VA, with Rev. Jonathan Jonas officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made toward Shelby and Brody's college fund c/o CollegeAmerica at the funeral home.
