Abingdon, VA- James Carlton Baugh, age 77, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014, at his home. He is preceded in death by his second wife, Dolores Widner Baugh; parents, George Ellis and Elsie Jessee Baugh Price; brother, Lee Baugh; and sister, Irene Amos. James grew up in Russell County, Virginia and lived in Washington County, VA most of his adult life. During his working years, he ran a contracting firm, building houses in Woodland Hills, Woodcliffe, and Stone Mountain Subdivisions. Survivors include his son, Roger Baugh of Tumwater, WA; son, Gary Baugh and wife Nory Rodelas Nebrida Baugh of Leon, MX; and sister, Frances Amos; stepson, Gary Widner and wife Daphne; stepdaughters, Brenda Fleenor and husband Wayne, and Karen Widner; five step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2014 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A funeral ceremony will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Jerry Eggers officiating. Interment and committal will follow at 5:00 p.m., Monday at Miller Cemetery on Reedy Creek Road in Bristol, VA. There will be no procession to the cemetery.
