James David Arnold

Meadowview, VA – James David Arnold, born February 23, 1976 and age 45, passed on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.  James was a former employee of the Town of Abingdon Public Works and was preceded in death by his father, James Claude Arnold. 

James is survived by his wife, Naomi Kestner Arnold; four sons, James Arnold, II, David Arnold, Winston Arnold, and Dominic Arnold; mother, Helen Hess Styles; siblings, Betty Arnold, Elizabeth Helen Arnold, Geneva Michelle Arnold, Trigg Cecil Arnold, and Landon Ben Fields; and several nieces and nephews. 

 Visitation with the family will be held 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2021, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.  Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday in Old Glade Presbyterian Church Cemetery with David Matlock officiating.  Pallbearers will be Bruce Kestner, Sam Kestner, Kenny Heath, Tim Foran, Bufford Doss, and Joe Rasnake.  James Arnold, II, David Arnold, Winston Arnold, Dominic Arnold, Pete Reynolds, Randy Sutherland, Densty Kestner, and Ronald Rasnake will serve as honorary pallbearers.  COVID-19 guidelines are to be observed.
