Bristol, TN – James Irven “Pete” Riley, age 58, passed on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at his home surrounded by family and friends. Born in Baltimore, MD on October 16, 1963, a son of the late Carl Luther Riley, Sr. and Zelma Sue Matney Riley. Pete was employed by Tri-City Extrusion and was a carpenter by trade. Pete loved to cut up and was always joking to get a rise from others. His laughter was probably heard by the Angels in Heaven.
He was an avid fisherman, member of the Great Tri-Cities Dart Association where he held many championship titles and earned his nickname “Pistol Pete”, but greatest love was riding his Harley Davidson bike with his family and friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Teddy Dean Riley, and sister, Janice Riley.
Those left to cherish his memories include his brothers, Carl Riley, Jr., Jackie D. Riley and partner Tim G. Carrier; sister, Nancy Riley; son, Jacob Kane Riley; daughter, Brandi Riley Hodgson; nephew, Carl Garrett Riley; several cousins, aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, September 20, 2022, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev.
