James Thomas "J.T." Kelly

Meadowview, VA – James Thomas “J.T” Kelly, Jr., age 90, went to be with his beloved wife, Angie, Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at his home.  J.T. was born April 21, 1932, the son of the late James T. Kelly, Sr. and Oma Elizabeth Taylor Kelly.  He was an active member of Mahanaim United Methodist Church an honest, God-fearing man who loved the Lord and his family.  J.T. worked at Olin Mathison and Westinghouse and was a lifelong farmer. 

Survivors include his son, Timothy Kelly and wife Vickie of Meadowview, VA; daughter, Jeannie Conkin and husband Jack of Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Bradley (Valerie) Mitchell, Travis (Kim) Kelly, and Shannon Kelly; great grandchildren, Maya Mitchell, and Carter and Axle Kelly; brother, George (Evelyn) Kelly; sister, Patsy (Will) Edmiston; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, J.T. was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Angie Kiser Kelly; brother, William S. Kelly; and sister, Joanna Marie Surber.

Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2022, in the Main Street location of Farris Funeral Service.  Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in Mahanaim United Methodist Church, 32042 Taos Lane, Meadowview, VA 24361, with Rev. Mike Dixon officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery with Travis Kelly, Brandon Phillips, Matthew Kelly, Jason Taylor, Rick Woods, and Daryl Vaught serving as pallbearers.
