James Michael "Biggin" Thomas, age 48, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Biggin was a life-long resident of Washington County and a graduate of Abingdon High School. He had worked for J.D. Watson & Associates for the past 20 years. Biggin was a member of Gospel Tabernacle and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Marie Thomas, and his wife, Melissa Thomas.
Survivors include his daughter, Beth Eller and her husband Donald Woodard of Abingdon, VA; one brother, Larry and his wife Ginger of Meadowview; two grandchildren, Landon and Maddie Woodard; special nieces and nephews Haley Thomas, Lucas Thomas, Joe Thomas, Travis Thomas, Troy Thomas, Martina Thomas and Zackary Arnold.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
