James Bascom Spivey, Jr.

James (Jim) B. Spivey, Jr., 67, of Abingdon, VA passed away September 29, 2024. Jim was born on June 29, 1957, in Kingsport, TN, to Alice Spivey and the late James B. Spivey Sr. He graduated from Lynn View High School and retired from Eastman Chemical Company after 36 years of employment. He enjoyed working on his tractor and spending time with his granddaughter who he loved very much. 

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Vickie Spivey; son, Jameson (Tyler) Spivey; daughter, Elizabeth Stevens and husband Brett Stevens; granddaughter, Brynleigh Stevens; mother, Alice Spivey; sisters, Deborah Quillen and husband Sam, Shelia Hood and husband Roy; and several nieces and nephews. 

A private memorial service will be held in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Dr. Bill Bryan officiating.
