James Ralph Trivette

J. Ralph Trivette, age 84, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at his residence in Glade Spring, VA. Ralph was born on June 16, 1938, to Raymond and Annie Trivette in Bristol, Virginia. After Ralph graduated from Virginia High School in 1957, he went on to study Accounting at Virginia Highlands Community College. Ralph started his first job with the Virginia Department of Highways in highway design. In 1959, Ralph met his wife Betty Joe Henderson at First Assembly of God in Bristol, VA. Ralph and Betty went on to have two children: Mark and Alice. In 1977, Ralph and family moved to his beloved farm in Glade Spring, VA, where he continued to farm until October 2022.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Annie Trivette of Bristol, TN, his brothers, Earl Trivette of Bristol, TN, and Carl Trivette of Knoxville, TN.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Betty Joe Trivette, of 62 years; daughter Alice Trivette-Stout and son-in-law Greg of Sevierville, TN; son Mark Trivette and daughter-in-law, Shelly, of Glade Spring, VA; his sister, Lynda Rogers, and brother-in-law George of Bristol, TN; his grandchildren Benjamin Trivette of Glade Spring, VA, Cameron Trivette and his wife Keisha of Marion, VA, Kenna Call and husband Isaac of Glade Spring, VA, Isabelle Trivette of Glade Spring, VA, Braxton Stout of Johnson City, TN, Jeremy Trivette of Glade Spring, VA, and Rosemary Stout of Sevierville, TN, and three great grandchildren, Millie, Arthur, and Flynn. Survived by four nieces and four nephews.

A visitation with the family will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with a memorial service to follow with the Reverend Charlie Minton and Mrs. Shelly Trivette officiating.   Those wishing to view the service from home may visit https://event.forgetmenotceremonies.com/ceremony?c=69d5c9fe-0605-4c2a-a99e-f8b1adc652b4 at 1:50 p.m. Saturday.
