Jane Bare Williams

Jane Bare Williams, born on July 16, 1944 in Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away on September 27, 2024 in Meadowview, Virginia. She leaves behind a legacy of dedication to education and financial stewardship, as well as a loving family who will deeply miss her.

Jane began her career in education, touching lives through her teaching. After several years in the classroom, she transitioned to the financial sector and notably served as an asset manager at SunTrust Bank for 20 years. Her professional journey was marked by her commitment to excellence, and she was respected by colleagues and clients alike.

A proud graduate of Emory & Henry College, where she earned a degree in Education, Jane also graduated from Patrick Henry High School. Her academic achievements paved the way for a fulfilling career and reflected her passion for learning and teaching others.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Jane was proud of her long marriage to Robert Williams. Together they celebrated an enduring partnership over 56 years, embodying love and partnership through the decades.

Jane is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Williams, as well as her brothers David Bare, Bo Bare, Tim Bare, and Robin Bare and their families. She cherished her relationships with her family, which also includes several nieces and nephews who will remember her with fondness.

A graveside service to honor Jane's life will be held at Forest Hills Memory Gardens in Abingdon, Virginia, on October 1, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Jerry Eggers officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
