Janet Lee Peake, born on December 31, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on September 26, 2023, at Abingdon Health & Rehab. She was surrounded by her loved ones during her final moments.
Janet's life was a beautiful story filled with joy and simple pleasures. She graduated from Piqua Ohio High School and worked briefly at a floral shop in Wise, VA. She was a member of Trigg Street Church of God.
Janet enjoyed word search puzzles and collecting candy. These activities brought out her playful side and provided moments of relaxation and happiness. In addition to these hobbies, she found great delight in baking cookies and crafting various types of candy. Her creations were not only delicious but also infused with the love and care she poured into them.
Janet was preceded in death by her father, Charles Mack Peake and her brother, Charles "Chuck" Peake.
Survivors include her loving mother Mary Lou Peake, sister-in-law Teena Peake, and cousin Patsy Rasnake. Their lives were forever enriched by Janet's presence, and her memory will live on in their hearts.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Farris Funeral Service – Main Street Chapel located at 427 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210. The funeral services for Janet Lee Peake will take place on September 29, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Farris Funeral Service - Main Street location with Pastor Steve Vaughn and Rev. Larry Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Knollkreg Memorial Park starting at 1:00 PM located at 556 Walden Rd, Abingdon, VA 24210.
