Janet West Hagler, age 71, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James West and Myrtle Ferguson West Johnson; two brothers, Sonny West and Timothy Johnson; and sister, Beatrice Whittington.
Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Faye Reddix of Glades Spring, VA; four sons: Douglas Hagler of Glade Spring, VA; James Hagler and wife Lisa of Boiling Springs, NC; Rossalee Hagler III and companion Sherry Dunlap of Austin, TX; and Robert Lee Barnes and wife Robin Eldreth Barnes of Wilkesboro, NC; brother-in-law, Buster Whittington of Boone, NC; three sisters: Barbara Bradley of Meadowview, VA; Velma Branch and Anita Lockhart both of Glade Spring, VA; eight grandchildren, Randy Hagler and wife Ashely, Kristopher Barnes and companion Neressa Dobroski, Sharmia Hagler, Starlet Hagler, Jarret Hagler, Cameron Hagler, Cory Hagler, and Callen Hagler; and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11:00-1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home where the Bishop R. C. Bryant will deliver the eulogy. A committal service will be held at Mt. Rose Cemetery where sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Rossalee Hagler II and Cory Large will serve as honorary pallbearers.
