Janice Louise Tenney, 69, crossed into paradise on Friday, March 26, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her parents George A. and Ocie M. Lanham Gooden; son, Randal Tenney; brother, Robert Gooden and sister, Retha Carpenter.
Beloved mother and grandmother, she is survived by her husband of 54 years, Clayton Tenney of Abingdon; her sons, Basil and wife, Sharon of Meadowview, VA, Ivan and wife, Dianne of French Creek, WV, Leonard and wife, Betty of Green Cove, VA and Dexter and partner, Neil Aycock of Bristol, VA; her daughters, Sandra Thayer of Abingdon and Sherry Parks and husband, Bobby of Blountville, TN; brother, Marvin Gooden and wife, Donis of Kesling Mill, WV; sisters, Leota Squires of Bridgeport, WV and Areta Wilfong of Buckhannon, WV; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Mt. Olive Union Methodist Church in Hemlock, WV with Rev. Holly Hoover officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Union Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends at Farris Funeral Service from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday, March 29, 2010.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the family.
