Janie Faye Holmes, 63, passed away, Tuesday, February, 22, 2011 at her home.
She was born June 2, 1947 in High Point, NC and was the daughter of the late Jasper (2005) and Mary (1984) Holdaway. Her passion in life was caring for others and she had dedicated many years of her life in service at Cambridge House in Bristol, TN. She was also a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her daughters, Melinda Pinal and husband, Steve of Bristol, Virginia and Renae Sowers and Rudy Bolivar of California; son, John Schuman and wife, Tammy of Dunlap, TN; sisters, Carol Haught and husband, Dr. Jacob Haught and Pat Jarrett; brother, Joe Holdaway and wife, Judy; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three nieces and three nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Hwy, Abingdon with Rev. Don McGregor officiating. The family will receive friends at Forest Hills from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday or at anytime at the home of Carol Haught, 11545 Applejack Road, Bristol, VA.
Committal services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be John Schuman, Jose Saucedo, Joseph Sowers, Jason Holdaway, Kelly Davis and Jim Cutshall. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Holdaway, Sam Seymour, Dr. Jacob Haught and Steve Pinal.
Those attending the committal service are asked to assemble at Forest Hills Memory Gardens by 12:45 P.M. Saturday.
