Abingdon, VA- Janis Ann Delp, age 58, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was of the Baptist faith and was widely known as “The Avon Lady”. She was born the fourth child of the late Robert Delp, Jr. and Constance Reynolds Delp on February 16, 1956. Janis is survived by her son, Nathan Delp and wife Amanda of Meadowview, VA; daughter, Connie Edwards and husband Jason of Columbia, SC; two brothers, Nick Delp and wife Pon of Grandview, TX and Barney Delp of Anacoco, LA; two sisters, Chellis Holbrook of Meadowview, VA and Marla Pierce of Bristol, TN; five grandchildren, Mia, Ashton, Brantley, and Evangelina Delp, and Zoie Edwards; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain View Baptist Cemetery with Dr. Don Paxton officiating.
