Jayne Warren Clark

Jayne Warren Clark, age 74, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Abingdon Health and Rehab.

She was born to the late Fred Warren and Pauline Wann Warren in Abingdon, VA on February 14, 1949. She attended John Battle High School and graduated from Abingdon High School. She worked at Harwood, then Dutt and Wagner and went to Camac Industries – Universal Fibers for over 40 years before retiring in 2019 as a Quality Inspector.

Jayne loved her dogs, Krystal and Chi Chi. She attended Kingsway Baptist Church and was a member of Spoon Gap Baptist Church. She loved her churches, was a loyal member and was loyal to her faith in the Lord.

In addition to her parents, Jayne was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ivan Rodger Clark, granddaughter Miranda Nicole Clark, sister Helen Trivett, nephew David Trivett, Earl and Octavia Clark, brothers-in-law Vernon Trivett and TJ Hayes, sister-in-law Gail Warren, and several aunts and uncles.

She is survived by sons Ivan Rodger Clark II of Abingdon and Denny Michael Clark and wife, Judy, of Abingdon; sister Virginia Hayes of Marietta, GA; brothers Freddy Wayne Warren and wife, Linda Joyce, of Atlanta, GA and Michael Warren of Abingdon; stepdaughter Denise Emerson of Martinsville, VA; grandchildren Zack Clark, Kannin Clark, Gracie Clark, Matthew Emerson and Logan Emerson; and several nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Caretaker Kimberly Bellamy, MSA Hospice Service, Dr. Laramie Triplett, Dr. Bruce Higginbotham, Grundy Heritage Hall – C Hall Staff, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Abingdon Health and Rehab, Abingdon Ambulance, and special extended family Billie Luchini and Fonda Eldreth.

Visitation with the family will be held 6:00-9:00 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2023, in the Main Street Location of Farris Funeral Service.  The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 29, 2023, with Mike Lawson and Herbert Bailey officiating.  A committal service will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
