Jeffrey Vernon Burke, age 58, of Jonesborough, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Franklin Woods Community Hospital. He was born November 20, 1962, to the late Vernon Burke and Margaret Pauline Pierce Burke in Abingdon, Va. He was a resident of the Dawn of Hope Home and attended the Dawn of Hope School in Johnson City.
In addition to his parents, Jeffrey was also preceded in death by his brother, David Burke; and his beloved maternal grandmother, Mamie Hicks.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Vickie Burke, of Bristol, Tenn.; and several nieces.
A private funeral ceremony will be livestreamed on Monday, January 11, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. from the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Phil Kestner officiating. The livestreamed service may be viewed by visiting
