Jerry Alan McCracken

Abingdon – Jerry Alan McCracken, age 59, passed on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, in Johnston Memorial Hospital.  Jerry was an employee of Dutt & Wagner for over 20 years.  He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Alice Cuddy McCracken; and two sisters, Marie Rash and Betty Garland. 

Jerry is survived by his wife of 37 years, Teresa Nelson McCracken; two brothers, David (Barbara) McCracken, and Charlie (Sharon) McCracken, both of Abingdon, VA; sister, Eva (Kim) Murray of Abingdon, VA; brother-in-law, Johnny Rash of Orlando, FL; special hunting and fishing friend, Richard Robins; furbabies, Serenity and Kodiak; and several nieces and nephews. 

Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2020, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.  Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, in Rhudy Cemetery, Twin Oaks Road, Abingdon, VA, with Randy Camper officiating.  Pallbearers will be David McCracken, Kim Murray, Matthew Murray, Joseph Murray, Gary Widener, and Terry Meinhold.  Randy Robins and Charlie McCracken will serve as honorary pallbearers.  Those wishing to attend the service are asked to convene at the cemetery.
