Meadowview, VA Mr. Jerry Dwight Crosswhite, age 61, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at his home after a brief illness. He was a native of Washington County VA. He spent his entire working life as a trucker and was most recently employed by Berry’s Iron and Metal. Dwight was predeceased by his parents Preston and Ethylene Crosswhite; brother Carl Crosswhite; and sister Diane Mink. He is survived by his wife Judy Crosswhite; son Jerry Crosswhite and wife Amanda of Meadowview, VA; daughters Melissa Hucks and husband John of Meadowview, VA and Kayla Turner and husband Stephen of Abingdon; brother Doyle Crosswhite of Meadowview; sisters Regina Baumgardner and husband Jessie and Kathy Cox (Danny Bernard) both of Abingdon; brother-in-law Franklin Mink of Meadowview, VA; four grandchildren Ally Crosswhite, Chase, Lucas and Connor Hucks. A graveside service for Jerry Dwight Crosswhite will be held on Sunday October 12, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Old Glade Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Brother Edward Yarber officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Pall bearers will be Eugene O’Quinn, Tom Bishop, Stephen Turner, John Hucks, Billy Hayden, Larry Davenport, Rex Johnson and Freddie Seales; Honorary bearers will be the four grandchildren, Doyle Crosswhite, Ralph Crosswhite, Joe Buckles, William Yarber, John Yarber, Jessie Baumgardner, Danny Barnard, Franklin Mink, Benny Repass, and employees of Berry’s Iron and Metal.
