Jessie Margaret Saltz, age 91, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was born to the late Robert Odell Hamby and Maudie Belle Sage Hamby in North Carolina. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Ray Saltz; one son, Bobby David Saltz; four brothers, Cupid Hamby, Odell Hamby, Burl Hamby, and Hob Hamby; one sister, Gracie Belle Roark; and one grandson, Joseph Wayne Jackson.
She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Jackson and husband Ralph and Janice Jackson and husband Jerry both of Bristol, TN; three grandchildren, Michael Jackson, Jimmy Jackson, and Travis Jackson; and three great grandchildren, Dustin Jackson, Tyler Jackson, and Jaida Jackson.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with the Reverend John E. Massey, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. -2:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Shipley Cemetery where Jimmy Jackson, Travis Jackson, Jerry Jackson, Ralph Jackson, Dustin Jackson, and Clayton Gideon will serve as pallbearers.
