Abingdon, VA – Jimbo “J.B.” Wright, age 51, passed on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at his home. Jimbo lived most of his life in Tazewell, VA and moved to Abingdon 15 years ago. He attended Holston Valley Baptist Church and was a truck driver for Bullet Trucking. Jimbo was a loving husband and father. He is preceded in death by his father, Samuel Wright, and brother, Kevin Wright. Jimbo is survived by his wife, Susan Payne Wright; sons, Jason Wright of Tazewell, VA and Rayland Wright of Abingdon, VA; daughters, Jessica Wright of Virginia Beach, VA, Ashley Ball and husband Brad of Abingdon, VA, and Jayland Wright of Abingdon, VA; mother, Martha Louise Wright of Bluefield, VA; brothers, Sam Wright and William Asbury, both of Bluefield, VA; sisters, Lisa Brown and husband Perry of Tazewell, VA, Tracy Williams and husband Tim of Beckley, WV, and Janie Barnett and husband Wade of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Jonathan Hesson, and Kelsey and Tyler Ball; and special friends, Jerry Farmer and Tommy Dye. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Holston Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Ketron and Rev. Bobby Kohane officiating. Visitation with the family will be held 2-3 p.m. prior to the service.
