Blountville, TN - Jimmi Kay Cline, stepped into her eternal life on November 20, 2021, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Jimmi Kay was born on June 5, 1963, in Dante, Virginia to the late Jim and Jackie Counts. She was a 1982 graduate of Castlewood High School. After graduation, Jimmi Kay worked with Teen Challenge and Missionettes, mentoring children. She also worked as Store Manager of Long John’s Silver in Salem, VA and later as Church Secretary for Cross Park Church in Bristol, TN. Jimmi Kay was known for her infectious smile, her desire to serve others and steadfast faith in her Lord Jesus.
In addition to her parents, Jimmi Kay was preceded in death by her loving father-in-law, Tommy Cline.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, James Cline of Blountville, TN; sister Carla Hill (Dan) of Glencoe, AL; brother Rusty Counts (Tamara) of Huntsville, AL; mother-in-law, Thelma Cline of Dante, Virginia; sister-in-law, Debbie Dishner of Kingsport, TN; and several nieces, nephews, and a whole village of friends.
Visitation with the family will be held 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2021, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Funeral services will be conducted following the visitation with Richard Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park.
