Jimmy Wayne “ Humpy” “Lawn Mower Man” Clawson, age 60, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018.
Mr. Clawson was born November 25, 1957, in Elizabethton, Tenn. to the late Charles Clawson and the late Elma Campbell Clawson. Mr. Clawson was a United States Army Veteran and attented Mendota Log Church. He enjoyed working on and selling lawn mowers at the Southwest Flea Market.
Mr. Clawson is survived by his girlfriend, Nancy Lowe of Bristol, Va.; four brothers: Doug Clawson and wife, Gerri, of Jonesbrough, Tenn.; Bill Clawson and wife, Judy, of Elizabethton, Tenn.; Johnny Clawson and wife, Eunice, of Bristol, Va.; and Ray Clawson of Pensacola, Fla.; two sisters, Brenda Amburn and husband, Lewis, of Wilkesboro, N.C. and Charlotte Hodges of Johnson City, Tenn. Several cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Paul Price and Rev. Roger Reynolds officiating. The committal service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery where military honors will be provided by the Boone Dam V.F.W. Post 4933. Those wishing to attend the committal service are asked to convene at the cemetery before 1:00 p.m. Thursday.
