Glade Spring, VA Jimmy Dean Thomas, age 57, passed on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at his home. James was a life-long resident of Washington County and was a farmer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Reece Thomas and Dallas Frances Owens Thomas; and brothers, Roger, Robert, and David Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Reba Doss Thomas; son, Charlie Doss and wife Shirley; daughter, Amanda Thomas; brother, Dale Thomas; sister, Judy Simpson; grandchildren, Dawn Marie Doss, Ashley Doss, Emily Curtis, Deana Thomas, Keisha Musick, and Seth Musick; mother-in-law, Betty Doss; special son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Crystal Doss; and two sisters-in-law, Connie Page and Judy Doss. Visitation with the family will be held 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. following the visitation in Mt. Olivet cemetery with Rev. Tim Norris officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Casey, Douglas Doss, Carroll Doss, Justin Ray, Larry Page, and Ronnie Doss. Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Owen, Edward Hamm, and Ben Jeffery.
