On May 21, 2024, Joann Martha Bryant of Abingdon, Virginia, passed away, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Joann was born on April 4, 1941, in Mountain City, Tennessee, to loving parents who instilled in her values of hard work, kindness, and integrity.
After graduating from Blountville High School in 1959, Joann embarked on a successful career journey. She co-owned Four Seasons Heating and Air Conditioning working along side her husband, Arlen Bryant, where her dedication and expertise left a lasting impact on both her colleagues and clients. Joann's passion for her work shone through in everything she did, earning her respect and admiration within the industry.
Beyond her professional life, Joann found joy in various hobbies and interests. She had a vibrant online presence and enjoyed connecting with friends through Facebook. In her leisure time, she could be found playing games on the computer or tending to her beloved garden, where she nurtured beautiful flowers that reflected her nurturing spirit. She was a member of Blackwell's Chapel United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlen Bryant and son James Arlus Bryant.
Joann will be dearly missed by her surviving family members: her sister Peggy Woodards; her chosen family, Randy and Michelle Woodward; special friends, Gwen McCall and Rhonda Russell; nephews Greg, Alvin & Gary Jones, and Jeff Ethridge; several cousins; and a wide circle of friends who were touched by her warmth and generosity. In their time of mourning, may they find solace in the fond memories they shared with Joann.
Her life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and unwavering strength. Joann Martha Bryant will be remembered not only for her professional accomplishments but also for the kindness she extended to all those around her. As we bid farewell to a remarkable woman, let us celebrate the legacy of compassion and dedication she leaves behind.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Mountain View Cemetery in Bristol, Virginia with Rev. Lisa Bryant officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
