Joann Miller Fleenor

Joann Miller Fleenor, 86, went to be with the Lord after a long illness on August 6, 2024 at NHC of Bristol.

Joann was married to the late William (Bud) Douglas Fleenor of Abingdon, Virginia. She was a lifelong member of the Wyndale community and a dedicated member of the Wyndale United Methodist Church. She faithfully served on many United Methodist district committees throughout the years. Joann enjoyed her family, singing, and cooking.

She was born on October 12, 1937, in Pennington Gap, Virginia to the late Jo and Lura Miller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William (Bill) Miller, Johnny Miller, and Philip Miller, and one sister, Sherry Ely, all of Pennington Gap, Virginia.

She is survived by one son, Mark Fleenor and his wife, Cindy; one granddaughter, Julie Eades and husband, Matthew; one grandson, Aaron Fleenor and wife, Megan; three great grandsons, Drew Eades, Chase Eades, and William (Liam) Fleenor; one great granddaughter, Avery Fleenor; four sisters, Christine Price, Linda Smith, Freda Heller, and Gloria Jarvis.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, 11:00 am at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA, with Pastor Carolyn Kidd officiating.
