Joe Buff Edward Roark, age 55, of Washington County, Va., met his hunting friends in Heaven after leaving the comfort of his home on Saturday, January 8, 2022.
Joe was the practical jokester and prankster of his family. If he wasn’t picking on you, he just didn’t like you. He was selfless, caring, and the fixer of difficult situations. He refused to take credit for his kindnesses and took all the enjoyment he needed from living life to its fullest. Joe spread joy and happiness to all who knew him. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter who spent time in nature with his wife and son; he was especially looking forward to taking his grandson hunting for the first time next deer season. He loved his daughters and he affectionately called them “my girls.”
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Norma Jean Orr, and Joe William Roark, Jr.; his paternal grandparents, Iva Mae Roark, and Joe William Roark, Sr.; and his aunt, Bessie Harness.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Jewel Roark; his children, Brandi Tasha Roark; Tyler Roark, and his wife, Lauren; and Amber Roark; his grandson, Grayson Tyler-Reid Roark; his mother-in-law, Janie Bowman; many friends; and his special dog, River.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
