John A. Sklepowicz

John (Jack) Alan Sklepowicz died Friday, October 24, 2014 unexpectedly. “Jack” was born to loving parents in Meriden, Connecticut on February 5, 1953. He became a life-long traveler and English teacher after graduationg from Colby College in Maine in 1975. He taught in Iran, Korea, Japan, Costa Rica and Brazil. The last twenty-four years of his teaching career were spent in middle and high schools in Connecticut and Miami, FL. He retired in February of 2011 and moved to Abingdon, VA. He was an avid reader, musician and singer, hiker, and lover of baseball and nature. He was a member of the Elderspirit Residential Community and attended the U.U. Church at Meadowview.
