John B. Beasley, Jr., 59, passed on Saturday, April 13, 2019, in Ballad Hospice House after a long battle with cancer.
John was a graduate of Graham High School in Burlington, N.C . and was of the Methodist faith. He was an employee of Dean Foods where he served as a branch auditor for over 30 years, and was most recently an employee of the Bristol, Va. Lowes.
John loved riding his motorcycle, cleaning his Jeep, playing the guitar, gardening, and smoking his pipe. He also had a passion for collecting unique items such as clocks, watches, sundials, pipes, strangely unique wall ornaments, and spending time at the ocean. John was fan of University of North Carolina sports and the Minnesota Vikings.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Carol Anne Trail Beasley. John is survived by his wife, Karen Horne Beasley; son Justin (Olivia) Beasley of Graham, N.C.; daughters Mandi (Pete) Burns of Bristol, Va., and Laura (Kelley) Golden of Johnson City, Tenn.; father John B. Beasley, Sr. of Burlington, N.C.; brother Eric (Tina) Beasley of Florida; grandchildren, Hailey Harless, Charles Burns, and Natasha Burns; special cousins, Mike and Tammy Trail, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation with the family will be held 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2019, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Cass Farrior officiating.
