John C. Widener, age 76, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 in Abingdon.
John is survived by two sons, Steve Widener of Abingdon and David Widener of Glade Spring; one brother, Henry Widener of Abingdon; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Hometown Hospice and Abingdon Manor for their efforts and care.
John’s wishes were to be cremated and the family will hold a celebration of life for John on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. in Mount Olivet United Methodist Church, 35045 Loves Mill Road, Glade Spring, Va. 24340.
