John H. Rigby of Abingdon, VA, formerly of Chazy, NY and Chicago, IL, passed away February 21, 2012 at Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Catherine Jarosack Rigby.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Charles Rigby of Abingdon, VA; one son, Erick Rigby of Washington, PA; one daughter, Jessica Rigby of Plattsburgh, NY; one sister, Jackie (Mike) Kuzniewski of Tampa, FL; two step-sons, Steve (Becky) Hunt of Council, VA; and Joe (Misty) Hunt of Hurley, VA; five granddaughters: Chelsey Hunt, Leann Hunt, Emily Hunt, Mekennah Hunt and Alisha Hunt; and a host of special friends who will miss him dearly.
At this time, no services are planned for Mr. Rigby.

Mr. Rigby and his family are being cared for by Farris Funeral Service and Crematory, 427 East Main Street, Abingdon, VA 24210 (276- 623-2700).
