Joshua C. "J.C." Lowe, age 26, passed away Friday, August 10, 2012 at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. Josh loved to work on vehicles and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walker and Annie Casey, and Jim and Cynthia Lowe.
He is survived by his parents, Elijah and Hazel Lowe of Abingdon, VA; one brother, Brandon Lowe of Abingdon, VA; and loyal companion, Selina.
Graveside services for Mr. Lowe will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Bethel Cemetery with Pastor Clark Powers and Rev. Darvin Woodruff officiating. Brandon Lowe, William Shortridge, Jimmy Wynbarger, Jason Garland, Leroy Vanmeter, Ellis Belcher, and Ronnie Miller will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation with the family will be held from 12:00 P.M. 1:30 P.M. Tuesday at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Those wishing to travel in procession to the cemetery are asked to arrive at the funeral home before 1:20 P.M.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the University of Virginia's Intensive Care Unit and Dr. Ernest Henry of Abingdon, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joshua Lowe Memorial, 19067 Green Springs Road, Abingdon, VA 24211.
