Joshua Z. Cox

Mendota, VA – Joshua Zebulon Cox, age 45, passed on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, in Bristol Regional Medical Center. Josh was a graduate of John S. Battle High School and enjoyed sports of any type, especially baseball, as well as wrestling and shooting. He was an avid Virginia Tech fan.

Josh was preceded in death by his father, Donnie Lee Cox, Sr., and brother, Donnie Lee Cox, Jr.

He leaves behind his four children, Brittany Sheets and husband Jacob, Abigail Cox, Katelynn Cox, and Joshua Cox; mother, Rebecca Harper Cox; siblings, Renee Greer and husband Jack, John Cox and wife Shannon, and Calvin Cox; grandson, Samuel Dean Sheets; two expected grandchildren; nephew, Jonas Justice; and several additional nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
