Juanita Mullins Lester

Abingdon, VA – Juanita Mullins Lester, age 91, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 12, 2023, at Johnston Memorial Hospital.  Juanita loved the beach and traveling.  She formerly attended Abingdon Presbyterian Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dora Lane Mullins; husband, William Mack Lester; three children, Ronald Edsel Lester, Sandra Lynn Vandyke, and Lawrence Edward Lester; and siblings, Sue Mullins, Bill Mullins, Warren Mullins, and Lawrence Mullins.

Juanita is survived by two sons, John Gavin Lester and wife Lisa, and James William Lester and wife Melissa; brother, Clyde “Chick” Mullins and wife Loretta; eleven grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2023, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, in Mountain Valley Memorial Park in Grundy, VA with Pastor Mike Rife officiating.  Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
