Judson Shawn Wilson, 45, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016, at his home. Jud was born in Valdese, N.C., but had lived in Meadowview for several years. He was a farmer.

Jud was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Barr Wilson. He is survived by his father James C. Wilson of Meadowview; daughter Holley Goodman of Meadowview; sister Denise Correll and husband Val of Lenoir, N.C.; brother Randy Wilson of Lenoir; nieces Brandi Ixchajchal and Casey Shook; great-nieces Eliana, Gabriella, Chloe and Tansley; and step-children Kelley and Dominick.

The funeral service for Judson Shawn Wilson will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Auust 20, 2016, in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, with Ron McCracken officiating. Interment will follow in Wideners Valley Cemetery, where pallbearers will be Abraham Ixchajchal, Josh Shook, Ronnie Wilson, Lynn Barr, Mike Barr and John Barr. The family will receive friends from noon 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Forest Hills Chapel.
