June Kreger Woodward

June Kreger Woodward passed peacefully away at her home on January 13, 2012.
She was born on December 28, 1917 to the late Claude T. Kreger and Viola B. Kreger.
June attended school in Washington County , Va. , ETSU and Johnson City Business College .
She began her banking career with Farmers Exchange Bank in Abingdon. The bank later became Virginia National Bank from which she retired as Assistant Vice President after 34 years of service.
June was a member of the National Association of Bank Women and Carvosso United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir and also a Sunday school teacher.
In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her brother, Fred L. Kreger.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Lynn Woodward Stadtmueller and her husband Juergen, who reside in Limburg, Germany and Charleston, SC.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Eggers officiating. Burial will follow at Knollkreg Memorial Park . Pallbearers will be Richard Duncan, R.C. Hayter, Don Lester, Roger Lester, Harold Fields, Larry Barrett, Harvey Clark, and Brian Stevens. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Addair and the Men of Carvosso United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Carvosso United Methodist Church, 19429 Rustic Lane , Abingdon , Va., 24210.
