Bristol, Va. – Kami Taylor "Tay-Tay" Harless, 39, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017, at her home. Kami was a 1996 graduate of John S. Battle High School and received her nursing degree from Virginia Highlands Community College. She was the former director of nursing at Total Home Healthcare and Hospice and attended Rock Hill Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Homer “Tooney” Taylor; maternal grandparents, Douglas and Effie Frye Lindamood; and father-in-law, Conley Harless.
She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Kevin Harless and dogs Reece and Sissy; parents, Carlos and Pamela Taylor of Bristol, Va.; grandmothers, Allene Taylor and Bonnie Lindamood, both of Wytheville, Va.; brother, John Taylor and wife Ami of Bristol, Va.; sister, Sheila Taylor of Bristol, Va.; nieces and nephews, Ashton “Big Sis” Shutters, Erikah “Roo” Shutters, Isabella “Belba” Shutters, Brittnee Stanley, Emilee “No-No” Stanley, John “Joe” Taylor, and Tobey Taylor; uncles, Hoss Lindamood and wife Theresa of Wytheville, Va., and Danny Taylor and wife Melinda of Wytheville, Va.; mother-in-law, Linda Harless of Bristol, Va.; and special friends, David and April Owens and Janie Brooks.
Visitation with the family will be held 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2017, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 7:00 p.m. with Bro. Chuck Stout, Rev. Robert Coffey, and Rev. David Davis officiating.
