Katheryne Marie Miller

Katheryne Marie Prater Miller, "Granny" age 100, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024. Marie was born in Meadowview, Virginia on September 9, 1924, to Arthur Prater and Mary Helen Davis Prater Thompson. She was a graduate of Meadowview High School. She loved her Lord and Savior and was a member of Heavenly Rest Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Rev. Lawrence Graybeal; grandson, Darin Graybeal; grandson-in-law, Charles West; and brothers James Edward Prater and A.J. Prater.

She is survived by her children Diann Graybeal, Scott Miller and Baker (Brenda) Miller; grandchildren Lorne, Ceretia (Randy), Elisabeth-ann (Danny), Mary-ann (Michael), Charles Wayne and Emily (Cody); great grandchilden Gabriel, Lillianna, Angelina, Elena, Marina and Cohen; sister, Peggy Snodgrass.

A graveside service will be held at Knollkreg Memorial Park on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Charlie Harmon and Pastor Herbert Bailey officiating.
