Kenneth Charles Richardson

Bristol, TN – Kenneth Charles Richardson, age 87, passed on Wednesday, January 23, 2019.  Mr. Richardson was a graduate of Big Creek High School in War, WV.  He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War and a retired coal miner.  Mr. Richardson is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Myrtle Ball Richardson; wife, Joyce Jaqueline Wellman Richardson; brother, Guy Richardson; and sisters, Fern Smith and Grace Smith. He is survived by his daughter, Fredda Richardson and husband Jay Browning of Thomasville, NC; nephews, David Smith and wife Peggy, Michael Smith and wife Robyn, and Tim Richardson; and one great niece and three great nephews.   Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.  It was Mr. Richardson’s request to be cremated after the visitation. Those wishing to express sympathy online may do so by visiting www.farrisfuneralservice.com and signing the online guest register. The family of Kenneth Charles Richardson is being cared for by Farris Funeral Service & Crematory, 427 East Main Street, Abingdon, VA 24210, (276) 623-2700.
