Bristol, VA – Kenneth Eugene “Ken” Musick, age 72, passed on Sunday, January 10, 2021, in Bristol Regional Medical Center. Ken was a U.S. Army Veteran and served with the Blackhorse 11th Armored Calvary during the Vietnam War where he received the Purple Heart for wounds sustained in combat. He was of the Christian faith and recently attended Macedonia Church of Christ. Ken was an auto mechanic for many years and recently worked at Pioneer Chevrolet.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Eugene and Genevieve Swartz Musick.
Ken is survived by his wife of 53 years, Juanita Canter Musick; daughter, Lisa (Dwayne) Cole of Morristown, TN; brother, Ron (Jean) Musick of Meadowview, VA; granddaughter, Hannah Sitton; great grandchildren, Alleigha and Kayson Pressey; special niece, Karla (Nathan) Leonard; several nieces and nephews; great nephew, Hudson Leonard; and his fur baby, Mazie.
Visitation with the family will be held 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2021, in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Forest Hills Chapel with Ministers Rich Pannell and Ron Musick officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Highlands Veterans Honor Guard. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. COVID-19 guidelines are to be observed. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Canter, Stanley Canter, Richard Spiva, David Eaton, Dwayne Cole, and Nathan Leonard.
