Kenneth Wayne Keene, 54, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011.
He was born June 15, 1956 in Abingdon and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a farmer and had worked 21 years for American Commercial Inc. He had also worked at Branson Body Works for thirteen years. He was a former member of Jackson Memorial.
He was preceded in death by his father, James McCracken.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Debra Rust Keene; his mother, Shirley Keene McCracken; his daughters, Kristy Faye Keene of Bristol, TN, Heather Kay Wise and husband, Andrew of Abingdon, and Janet Marie Harris and husband, Matthew of Bristol, VA; his four grandchildren, which he dearly loved, Zachary Wise, Coby Collins, Kaylee Harris and Peyton Harris; four brothers, Jimmy McCracken and wife, Eve of Bristol, VA, Ronnie McCracken and wife, Angie of Bristol, VA, Mark McCracken and wife, Vickie of Bristol, VA, and Dale McCracken and wife, Jessica of Abingdon; two sisters, Diane Boyd and husband, Tommy of Bristol, TN and Vickie Burnette of Bristol, VA and several nieces and nephews.
The family wants to give special thanks to his son, David Keene. They would also like to thank Dr. Henry for his care.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Maple Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Pastor Roger Ball officiating. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 P.M.
Active pallbearers will be Lester Rasnake, Kenny Rasnake, Lawrence Eastridge, Ricky Keene, Matthew Harris, and Andrew Wise. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie McCracken, Mark McCracken, Dale McCracken and David Keene.
The family will be receiving friends at Farris Funeral Service Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
