Mr. Kim D. (K.D.) Bolling, 67, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in Johnston Memorial Hospital. Kim was born January 24, 1949 in Bristol, Va. to the late Jamie V. Bolling and the late Evelyn J. Bolling. He attended the Bristol, Tenn. school system and was a graduate of ETSU in Johnson City. Kim retired from the Russell County School System with thirty-five years of service as a teacher, and was a member of Highlands Fellowship.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Bobbie Jane (B.J.) Hamilton Bolling.
Kim is survived by his wife Michelle Bolling; step-son John Ekko and wife Twylah of Henrico County, Va; step-daughter Sharon Bolling and husband Kenny of Lebanon, Va; three brothers: James Turner and wife Margo of Port Angeles, Wash., Larry V. Bolling and wife Sue of Bristol, Tenn., and Tony J. Bolling and wife Patty of Supply, NC. Several aunts, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Bill Edmonds and Pastor Kenny Bolling officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.
