Lavelle Astrop Snead, age 90, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Greystone Health Care Center in Blountville, TN. She is preceded in death by her husband, William "Nooky" Snead, two sons, Buddy Colley and Billy Snead, and granddaughter, Leslie Shae Snead.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie E. Snead of Ruther Glen, VA; four grandsons, Ronnie L. Snead, Rob Snead, Danny Colley and Gene Snead; six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Knollkreg Memorial Park in Abingdon, VA with family and friends serving as pallbearers. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at Greystone Health Care Center and Farris Funeral Service for the care and service they have provided to the Snead family.
